The Huff Family

I can't believe two years has come and gone so fast! Looking back at old posts, playtime seemed to be the main theme which I miss, no homework, car pool lines, or scheduled activities. The main thing though that has drawn me away from having time to update photos is this little guy. What a blessing and joy he has been to our family! I am going to slowly go through and try to play catch up! This was the hair style he was sporting for quite some time his first year of life. I remember meeting some friends somewhere and someone saying how his hair was so funny. I told them yeah it just doesn't want to stay down when I brush it in the mornings. She went on to say how she just squirts her kids hair down with a water bottle every morning and it stays down. Huh, imagine that, water! I'm not quite sure how I missed thinking of that one, but never the less, he will look back on these pictures and wonder if I ever owned a comb or water...soon after we had his first haircut. ...

I have Two New Teeth! Ignore the dirty face please! He's a boy right? They are supposed to be dirty!:)

Riley had a painting party for her birthday and all the girls had a great time!

I was putting off getting Hayden's haircut out of fear that she would lose her curls, but after seeing this bedhead I couldn't put it off much longer. She hopped right into the chair and was fine, and then something changed and I see one single tear rolling down her face and her sad frown face. We walked out in tears but recovered once we got to the mall playground, and all her curls are still in tact!

I can't believe the summer is almost over! I guess that's what happens when your child starts to be on the school calendar. Riley's last day of preschool was quite emotional as I cried all the way home after going to her end of the year party. Her teacher was so fabulous this year and at the party she read the book "The Oak inside the Acorn" by Max Lucado. Such a great book and most of the moms were crying by the end of it, but I fought through it until I got to the car! I know "Bubs" and "Haydes" (Riley's nicknames for Brady and Hayden) are going to miss having Riley around all day (and so will I), but here are some pics of our fun summer.
